Fast Lists2.24 - App Store

Create and edit checklists and most importantly tick off completed items. It is great for reusable and easily editable checklists to make sure you don't forget anything. Lists that you want again and again are the real focus.

This is the non-syncing version of the app. Fast List Sync which uses iCloud is also available in the App Store. There is a comparison of the two below.

Ideal for shopping, packing or keeping track of just about anything. Particularly useful for keeping track of what you need to do.

No advertising, sign in or registration required and none of your information is stored online, everything is in your device all the time even when you are offline. Your privacy is respected at all times, no data is sent to the developer. Crash reports collected via Apple if you have opted in to share these with developers, nothing is directly collected from the app..

Lists can include nested sublists to help you organise the list. And the list can be reordered by clicking the Edit button and dragging the item you want to move.

Quick buttons to hide the completed items and to view all items as a flat list (especially useful in combination to quickly see the last remaining items).

Sublists indicate the number of completed and the total number of items within them. They can also be reordered in the edit mode.

Version History Fix an issue that prevented opening lists in files/email attachments in some situations.

Builds with latest tools so should support newest screen sizes properly.

As always general feedback welcome too. 2.21 05/13/2018 Updated wording. "Clear √" was confusing and some users expected the ticked items to be deleted. Now reworded to "Untick All". Also if you are in the UK have a look at the Giftstar app for lots of gift ideas which I have been working on recently. 2.2 12/20/2014 The App is now stable on iOS8. The previous update did stop the vast majority of the crashes and this update should fix several other issues. There may be a couple of issues particularly on rotation while there is an alert or a popover on screen. The will be a further release to resolve that issue. 2.11 10/25/2014 iPhone 6 and 6 plus support.

Built for iOS8 with latest SDK - Hopefully this will resolve the crashes on iPhone 4S/5 that have been happening on iOS8. Root cause has not been found so any information about when this happens or how to reproduce would be gratefully received at support@human-friendly.com

Good reviews increase downloads which in turn enables me to commit time to maintaining and improving Fast Lists. 2.10 10/06/2014 Another rare crash risk removed. 2.07 07/03/2014 Prevent multiple email action popups appearing (on top of each other) on iPad causing screen to get darker and needing to be dismissed multiple times.

Possibly also resolved occasional crash. 2.06 06/28/2014 Attempting to fix undo crashes. 2.05 05/18/2014 Fixes links to Fast Lists in app store in emails sent and fixes link to submit a review.

If you like Fast Lists please submit a review, more reviews means more downloads and the more worthwhile further feature development is. 2.04 02/18/2014 Fixes crashes on iPhone/iPod touch following certain edits within sublists and item details. 2.03 01/03/2014 Fixes iPad only bug where you can't create sub-lists with the bottom cell in the list. The plus button at the top still worked and this update restores this function. No impact for iPhones so no need to update if you are using an iPhone. 2.02 12/21/2013 2.01 - Improved debugging capabilities - should be no user impact.

It was tapping the blue plus to create a new top level list without setting the name. The check for blank names wasn't working. Thanks to those who sent me error reports.

This fix also means that the when doing Copy List it will the list of options to copy will be dismissed.

Expect Fast List 2.0 next week iOS7 only. 1.79 12/01/2013 Fixed some deletion issues. Top level lists deleted were causing blank cells with "Delete" showing on some versions of iOS after scrolling or new list creation. Deletion of sublist contents in "Flat" view was causing blank cells to remain.

Additional diagnostic information if an error occurs while saving the list (which happens automatically on every change). The information is optionally sent by email from the user.

Build with Xcode 5.02 which should prevent a couple of problems caused by compiling with earlier versions.

I am seeing issues on iOS 6 currently that I haven't been able to pin down and the diagnostic additions should help with this. I want to get Fast Lists 1.x working stably with iOS 6.x before I release Fast Lists 2.00 which will be iOS 7 only. Please email and tell me what is happening with any issues especially on iOS 6 as once Fast Lists 2.00 is release it will no longer be possible to make updates available for iOS 6 users. 1.78 11/21/2013 Minor bug. Wouldn't usually fix on its own but this may be the very last version supporting iOS 5 and 6. Animation problems on iPad when dragging intermediate lists to the left. 1.76 10/31/2013 A change to fix an iOS 7 issue caused issues on earlier versions. iOS 7 UI style update coming in a couple of weeks it will be iOS 7 only I'm afraid. 1.73 10/03/2013 Probably the last update for Fast Lists that will work on iOS 5 and iOS 6. New design iOS 7 version coming soon.

Fix a rare crash in the when dismissing the "Copy List" popover on the iPad and a couple of other rare crashes. 1.72 09/10/2013 Fixes two crashes.

1) On iOS 5.x it would crash when reordering in some cases.
2) If you imported a list from email when there are no existing lists it would crash. Thanks to Steve for the bug report. 1.71 08/08/2013 Fixes crash on iPad if an item is ticked in a sub-list while it is being viewed as a Flat List with ticked items hidden. Fairly large rewrite so jumping to version 1.7.

This should hopefully bring the crash level down to near zero and may be the last release for iOS 5 and iOS 6 as we are working on a new design to fit in with the new scheme when iOS 7 is released. It will be iOS 7 only.

Suspected to occur when a list is deleted while an item within it is being edited causing an attempt to write to the deleted record. Not replicated but plausible scenario. Only occurs about twice a week (across all users combined). 1.68 07/22/2013 Fix crash if you delete the first top level list (existing bug exposed by heavier use with the confirmation on top level deletion).
